MY NEW AIRPLANE SHOP<< CHECK IT OUT<<WHAT DO YOU THINK!!!!!!!
Hey folks my Dad had our 6 Garage Bay shop remodeled, and he gave me a 1/5 of it to make my own Airplane or HObby room, so I attached pics, I have worked on it for about 5 weeks, and I still have to add tool holders and some shelves over the work bench,, go to the hobby shop and spend 200 dollars on hardware to fill up my pegboard parts rack, and I order a surround sound TV stereo setup that is suppose to be delivered next week, and I am putting a Couch in the back corner,,,oh yeh it also has AC and HEAT, ,, ,, , what do you guys think,,

jongurley
I think it beats the dickens out of my basement shop! It looks like something we all can usually only dream about.
Mine has a building bench for me plus a bench for my wife. It has a third bench holding assorted wood working equipment. A kerosene heater helps heat the cement walls in the winter and it's naturally cool in the summer.
I'm happy for you Jon but still I'm happy for me. It sure beats building on the dining room table!

Rotten kid!
Hey, we're all envious, looks great, you did a real nice job, enjoy your new shop. And later, when you leave home to go to college/whatever, place my name first on your Dad's next adopted Son list.....Best regards from Thong Beach, Manasota Key, Englewood, Florida,

To Everyone:
Beware adult children who return to the nest.....Thet will never-ever leave!
DO not let them build themselves workshops! [unless they buy Dad Kits, Engines & stuff]
Charge them exhorbidant Rents! Or same for Room and Board! [+Make them cook, clean house, and especially Dad's Shop].
And if they bring a Lady-Friend home, they must bring along a Second for Dad! [quietly, so Mom doesn't find out and murdilize Dad]'
Yes, there could be something worse than having an adult child move back home; I just cannot think of what that situation would be at this time......sorry jon. again best regards from Florida

Are you mad?? Putting a JR and Futaba banner that close together in the same room means certain death. Just kidding; nice work on your shop. Me? I'm stuck in a 24'x6' shop I built in my backyard a few years ago. [&o]

In about 25 or so more years you will understand the "kid" references.
We all thought we were grownups when we were that age too.
What is that helicopter and truck doing in the airplane shop ????

You have a very nice Father. Spend all the time you can with him. BTW, my other hobby is collecting and restoring Military Vehicles. Get a WWII Jeep and restore it with your Dad. You can do that in Bay #5. Give that K-9 a bone, so he doesn't aquire a taste for Balsa!

RE: MY NEW AIRPLANE SHOP<< CHECK IT OUT<<WHAT DO YOU THINK!!!!!!!
I think it makes my shop look like a toilet stall with castle walls. But, I do have a toilet. Someday I'll heat the place too. My airplane storage room used to be an indoor chicken coop. Ahhh, the wonders of a 100 year old stone house. I have enough room to get airplanes in and out and to turn them around on the bench without breaking off the tails. You have a very nice shop. Since I'm too embarrassed to shoot a photo of my shop I leave here a picture of my backyard flying area for indoor airplanes on windless evenings.
