Palatka, FL. Field?
I'm going to be in Palatka and Daytona Beach for two weeks. Any flying fields I could visit? Don't have room to bring a plane, but thought I might observe and learn.

the Palatka field is new and is located on private property.There is a locked gate which is unlocked most every saturday morning.
It is located off hwy 19 south at the buckman lock access road . There is a sign that reads RIVERCITY AEROMODELERS.It is approx 1/4 mile from hwy 19. on left side of road.Hope this helps.

You could take a nice LONG drive and come down to Punta Gorda.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Am going to be placating a couple of deranged motorcycle racers, so I have to stick pretty close to the venues.

Not far from Daytona (IE: Bike Week) are two fairly popular fields - one is in Flagler County (Flagler RAMS) just west of Flagler Beach on Old King's Rd about 2 miles south of SR-100.
The other is in Deland on the south side of the airport. Take US92 (ISB) west, turn right onto "Marsh Rd" (I think) and look for the signs for the sports complex. The access road takes you well past the sports complex onto a closed runway on the airport property.
