Geotex (aka petromat) mini HOWTO posted
Folks:
I know there has been a lot of discussion lately about the geotex or petromat runways. We recently put one down here in northern New Mexico, and I decided to write up a mini-HOWTO with all the details. Our runway project was mentioned by pinnedup in the thread titled "Step by Step Pro-Pex Runway" but i wanted to go ahead and start a new thread so we could collect any specific questions or comments on the HOWTO.
I have the HOWTO in two places to cut down the traffic to my webserver. Try it first at :
[link=http://www.losalamos.com/jerichod/laaero_geotex/laaero_geotex_runway.htm]http://www.losalamos.com/jerichod/laaero_geotex/laaero_geotex_runway.htm[/link] or see the club website at [link=http://www.laaeromodelers.org]www.laaeromodelers.org[/link] and click on the link titled "Runway HOWTO".
Hope this is useful information to folks.

Very nice write up. We are into the third year with our Propex runway and are experiencing results similar to yours. We have had 70 mph plus winds multiple times plus flash flooding at our field all of which has not damaged the material.
Like you, we feel that it is a good model runway material.
Ours can be seen at www.Hawkfield.org
