Uh, it's cold and rainy here. If the rain stops for a week, it'll still be to wet to get to the field. What's your excuse?

Justgotr
Having trouble with my thumbs, I just mest up all my mail.
I am in a town 250miles north east of Colorado Springs . In northeast corner of state. You might try Pikes Peak RC at the springs. Weather in the 50s I am out at the field most of the time nothing else to do. Since I can't work any more!!

I got out twice in Dec., and once each in Jan and Feb. All of my planes are on trickle, so that if it gets nice out and I have the time, they're ready.

Went out last Wed, to try out my skis. Wasn't too terribly cold. Now, though, it's -30 windchill with more snow falling all the time.

I did manage to burn up 2 gallons of fuel in January and half of Febraury. Now if spring would just hurry the heck up!

Got to fly today, first time in about two months. It was 55* with 5-10mph winds. The field is all muddy and still has some snow on it.

every morning that is nice a couple of retirees meet and we put in 5-10 flights and later in evening also
on week ends spend day at the field most of the time
wife dog picknick et all
406 flights like this last summer + 47 training flights for students

I guess you northern guys get really ticked with us So. Cal. guys. We get to fly all year. I usually fly on Saturday, and Wednesday mornings if work doesn't screw it up. After living here for so long, I couldn't imagine having to put the planes away for months. I really appreciate out weather. Come visit and fly, but please don't move here. I'm kidding, you can move here.

I flew yesterday. Of course it was just a trainer, and a BIG mistake. The bird is sitting on the bench with it's wounds being patched. I could have sworn I cleared that power line!

I had hoped to fly yesterday and follow up with today, but the WX pattern we are in has made this a disappointing winter. We are in an area where we should get in some winter flying even some comfortable temps. I looked at the WX forecast last Tuesday, GREAT, SAT highs in upper 60's or low 70's, SUN a little cooler, but still ok. Got to yesterday, yep the temp got into the 70's great day right, well no, the winds were 20-25 miles per hour with gusts. Today? - well the forecast from Tuesday went downhill all week until we ended up with 40*, a 14 mi/hr wind out of the north, and it feels like 32*. That's why I am here writing this.
