well it has happened.about 11 am e.s.t news broke out up here in new Hampshire of possible terrorist attack by individuals with radio control airplanes and gasoline in back of their car.resulting in a high speed police chase into adjoining Massachusetts.route 3 has been closed for several hour awaiting arrival of bomb squad.this does not look good for our hobby and i think all rcu members should be made aware of this unpleasant situation and we should try to diffuse this as soon as possible.at this time this is all the info i have.hopefully it will end up being something stupid like he did not stop due to license suspension but who knows how the press will react especially if it is a foiled plot.i leave this with you to distribute as you see fit

Update from Scalebldr:
...trying to find out what they were up to the latest was the bomb squad removed a briefcase with a suspected device inside and are not talking at this point.will be watching the 6 pm new to see if any thig else pops up .it was a 24 year old merrimac nh man was arrested.just afraid of the bad publicity from this incedent.flying fields are tough enough to find and we really do not any federal regs like they did to the model rocket guys and their engines.fed inspections are required for storage of rocket engines.

Default update

this turned out to be nothing more than a 24 year old stealing family car and dad called police because of finding threatning type note on computer.police spotted car and driver refused to stop .this was a low speed chase trough 3 towns and 2 states.driver was trowing items out of car as he drove.a piece of paper and 2 wingless radio control air planes.he has four charges against him,one of which is littering for tossing out the models.route 3 known as everett turnpike was closed for several hours.just glad it was not something that would cause us some federal regulations.

As it turns out, yes. But there could have been major problems from the incident.

As I'm not a moderator in this forum I can't do it, but I'm going to ask that it be closed or removed.

Bill.
