Camp Atterbury (Johnson Co RC Flyers)
If you visit central Indiana and want to do some flying, then perhaps you can travel down to the site at Camp Atterbury (Johnson Co RC Flyers). They have one of the nicest paved runway sites that I have seen. Club membership is not required, but AMA membership is. If you really like the site, maybe you'll even consider joining - dues are only $25 per year.
Directions to the field are as follows:
Take I-65 South to Exit 80 (Edinburg, IN)
Follow SR252 West to US31
Go straight at US31 (US252 goes North, do NOT go North, Keep going West)
Road now called E800S
Follow E800S approx 3.5 miles to Schoolhouse Road (Sign says Johnson County
Park)
Turn North on Schoolhouse Road and the entrance to the flying field will be
on your right.
