Let me tell ya all a story!!!!
Well once upon a time here in snohomish County lives a guy who is very good friends with a fellow flier that lives just a short distance away, heck we fly together, go to Mariner games, what can I say?? Well one day he calls me you see and he says, "Art, I have just got ahold of this Ziroli Texan and it needs a bit of repair, would you do it?' Well being that he's a good mate and all I says sure bring it on over and let's see what we have going. Well thankfully it's just the wing that needs a bit of fixing says my friend, so I says way cool, bring it on over. Well into my shop walks my friend holding this wing, but wait, something isn't right says I as it should be 101" long and that ain't that long!!!! Well with this sheepish grin on his face he says the guy who built and sold it to a guy he knows had a bit of a problem shipping it and cut the wing tips off at the ailerons!!!!!! AARRRRGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! says I!!!!
Well my friend looks at me with these so sorrowful eyes and asks, "Can ya fix it?" sure I can realign and what ever and get them glued back on for ya but no he says, can you make it so the tips come on and off so it's easier to transport???? My heart gets this sudden icy feeling around it and look at him and says, "You be yanking my chain now aren't you??? Nope he says, more ice around the heart!!!! He hands me a new Maloney 100 for my sometime soon 1/4 scale Cub and says I'll give you this if you can fix it???? Now a week or so has passed and he knows that I am ah cussing the day that wing was built but I'm making it work and he brings over a ready to fly Telemaster, just needs a receiver for me to have to fly this year. Well I did say he was a very good mate didn't I????? Well I hope to be glassing this week as the bottom isn't and I'm stall ah cussing that wing but darn, the wing tips are now removable!!! So how were your past few weeks?????

Randy is a darn good friend and would help him no matter what. he did give me the engine and a Telemaster ready to fly (and in real good condition) for doing the work. All I need to do is put in a receiver that's all and we be flying it. I love a good challenge and Lordy miss Lordy this sure did fit the bill! He did say I could fly it also but heck he let's me fly all his planes!!!!!:stupid:
