What ever happened to "Qaxu"
The 'What ever happend to the Pipe' thread got me thinking..
What ever happened to Qaxu? "Do you Qaxu" (or somthing like that) it was all the rage; secret advertisments, some mysterious thing that was supposed to revolutionize RC. Some loved teh ads, some hated teh ads. The ads were full pagers in many of the magazines. SOmeone found teh tpatent, and some foudn other bits tolead us on teh speculation trail as to what exactly it was.. One or two even talked out being 'beta testers' ..
Then it seemed to just quietly dissapear....

Yeah, it's a weird thing.
The fingers are dyslexic! They get the letter right, but jumble them up!!
I also get a lot of 'eh' for 'the'.. and other words sopmetimes get spaces. When they get on a roll... man, where would I be without spell checker!!
No, I think I suffer from the fingers never really finding the right keys, and that the keyboard constantly moves on the desk. Not that it's moving as I type [that would be just annoying!!], but it's never in the same position; being moved as I work. Drafters / mech designers usually have lots of big papers, and lots of 'bits', and the keybard moves to accomodate..
There's also 'shoudl'. The l & d are always inversed

Remember that Simspn's episode, when Homer packs on the pounds.. ?
He tries to dial, but his fingers asre too big for the key pad, and the operator tells him to "mash teh key pad a few times, and a new 'fat friendly' phone will be shipped out."
Well, I do kinda feel that way too sometimes, that the keys are either too close together, or just too small. (My hands are regular sized...) I'm very good at finding the space bewen the keys, so, a few get hit instead of just the inteneded one...
I swear, if I worked for the governement during the 'cold war' I wodul have been arrested as a russian spy!! The amount of typos I make on a first run!!! haha!! [meaning the mis-typed words look more like Russian than [badly written] English!! ]

RE: What ever happened to "Qaxu"
Odd coincidence. I work with one of the guys that was doing their electrical engineering and had a few conversations with him on what it was they were up to. The idea was pretty far-fetched, but according to some was/is a real concept - zero-point energy. The fundamentals are beyond my mechanical engineering mind, but it goes something like this: energy exists in the vaccuum of space. When electric motors are operating, energy fields and power pulses are created that, if controlled and fed back into the motor circuitry will draw upon this vaccuum energy and provide a boost to the motor. If all the sequencing is done right, the motor becomes self-sustaining. For those interested in this sort of thing, do a search for Tom Bearden and his motionless electromagnetic generator, which he has patented.
The fate of the company was the typical story of a lot of startups- not enough money and what money they had was spent in the wrong places - like several hundred K for patent attorneys and other legal expenses - one of the principals in it was a lawyer and not enough oversight existed to keep him in line. THey also never demonstrated a working prototype to outside investors.
