How about a plane that looked noremal in a way, but in realitly it flew backwards, sure the wing and a few other things would be reversed, but would that ever be a wierd plane.

i suppose it could be a canard plane and the engine could be at the back and have a pusher prop, i suppose the only things that would look odd would be back to front wings and back to front control surfaces

Strange Planes
A couple of years ago I recovered a wreak out of the trash can, not sure what it was but it had a flatbottom shoulderwing and was just another sport airplane.
On the rebuild I added a aileron servo to enable elevons. Moved the CG forward to around 15% with a corresponding move forward of the main tricycle landing gear. Also added 20 degrees up reflex in the ailerons. Now the whole idea of this thing was to hide the fact that it had just became a flying wing so the bottom mounted horizontal stabilizer was removed, elevator was made rigid and the whole thing was remounted with a release mechanism activated by a servo. This ship probably because of the less than ideal airfoil for a flying wing Was very pitchy at medium to low speeds but very stable at high power and would do the most amazing inside and outside snaps, tumbles Which worked out well for our little gags.
The senario went something like this. I would taxi out and take off in a normal manner but at around ten feet the release would be hit and the stabilizer fly off with a loud report. Now pitching up into the vertical I would scream my head off help, help and my partner would run over and pretend to help me with the trims all the while the airplane would be going through its repertory of tumbles to finally recover and make a very bouncy landing.
Needless to say we had a lot of fun and the silly little routine was quite a success at several airshows.

The bird's legs are the main landing gear and also doubled as yaw stability...more here:

Hey dude! I'd vote to go with the flying fish!!! Imagine all the "gone fishing" stories you could tell on that one !!!
+++ have the fish to back it up !!!
"Hey Man! I went fishing this one time and saw this HUGE flying fish........................"
( I hope nobody would mind if i store a copy of that picture! It's giving me an idea............. )

Meters
I would estimate something like its profile would fit in a square with 6 meter sides. Probably should put the design in the Aerodynamic discussion section of RCUniverse as without a horizontal tail, it may have stability and control problems. On the other hand, a real artist isn't bounded by physical nature concerns as they view the world in the abstract, I think! So, why sweat the physics?

there might be a slight wing problem, chord and length, and also maybe too much body infront of the fin, but it might work...
6m box.. dont the neighbours hate you? must be sme forces on that when the wind picks up.
do you just have such a huge garden that it needs to be that big to be seen from the back door? lol

Here's one that might be considered a bit odd.

Twin Flying Fish
Phillybaby: No trouble with the neighbors as this "fish" is located 45 miles from my home on city government land/wharf! Sorry about the miles thing but when are you UKers going to change over to the English system of measurements? Always wanted a red Radio Flyer!
