Default Hobby shops in Dallas

I'm visiting Dallas on a business trip next week. What's a good, well-stocked hobby shop in the area? I'll be staying in the Addison area. Ours here in town doesn't usually have what I need.

Flying fields to visit?

Karl

Go to Mike's Hobbies. Look it up in the phone book ( in Dallas). You will not be disappointed, huge place filled to the roof!.
If you are going to Ft. Worth go to Roy's Hobby Shop, 1309 Norwood, in Hurst. Roy's is about half way between Dallas and Ft. Worth.
Both of these shops are 1st class shops with top of the line inventory. As long as your in the Hurst area you gotta check out AirPort Pawn and Hobby, 7430 Grapevine Highway. AirPort Pawn is one grazy shop. Get the old man to show you the back room!

Yeah, I can do that too, and it comes right to my house. Tough for stuff like covering, CA , balsa and hardware that you need right now.

Turbines- Thanks for the info.

The North Dallas R/C club is straight down the toll road from Addison (tollway runs right through it) If you want to fly e-mail me your number and I can give you directions. Very easy to get to from where you will be and from what the long term fort-cast says should be nice here next week. Yeah right....long term fort-cast.....ok, never mind, who knows what the weather will be like, but if nice we can arrange it.

As long as you are goinh to be in Addison . . .Check out the Full Scale Mesume at Addison Airport (well at least it was there about 7 years ago . . .if I rember correctly some wealthy business owner had the collection . . .I just happened to be there during an open house weekend . . .saw like 10 T-6's come in and land . . .everything in his collection is flyable). So to turn this into a question for the locals is it still there at Addison airport?
