Hatch Ideas
Posted this in Giant Scale....
I saw some pics somewhere of a hatch used for wing servos and it gave me an idea!
I decided to incorporate a couple of hatches on my 1/4 scale Cub's fuselage for a ballast box (Q35 up front) and easy access to the radio gear, in addition to the wing servo idea.
Anybody else using hatches on your plane? The hatches will be covered in 21st Century fabric, just like the rest of the plane. I used spruce rails for the hatches to secure to, and epoxied the ballast box sides to the hatch cover.
I think this will make access later really easy!
