Default What they say and what they really mean

I have been trading here on RCU for years and I am still amazed by some of the deals offered some good and some "not so much". Many time you hear the same ole phrase when talking about the same ole items. I wonder what they really mean. This is all done in fun, so nobody get upset.

What they say -"It has less than a gallon thru it"
What they mean "I can't get this thing to run, so you try"

What they say "Only 2 flights"
What they mean "It won't track stright, so I need to dump it on somebody else"

What they say "Ready to fly, just add engine and electronics"
What they mean "You are buying an airframe only, I am trying to make it sound like more"

What they say -"Collectors item, you can't find these any more"
What they mean "They were so bad they quit making themyou need this one"

What they say "Don't let this one get away"
What they mean- "Please take it away from me"

What they say-"I hate to sell it"
What they mean "You are going to hate me after you buy it"

What they say "Minor crash damage"
What they mean-"You're going to notice the broken fin, bent crank, and JB Weld so don't try to say I cheated you"

Your turn

Excellent post, I think we'll heard them at one time or another.

How about, "Only 3 were ever built, and I bought them all. I had the other 2 destroyed to enhance the value of this one."

Old, but you can still clean the dust off. Antique, so old that you can no longer scrape off the dust.

Or:

Vintage - its been around since I started in RC.
Antique - it was around before I started in RC.

What they say: It's such a forgiving plane that you can teach yourself to fly it.

What they don't say: We'll keep your credit card on file
