Someday I am going to build an eighty inch version of the sig 29ner freeflight model. I have a fourstar 60 wing I have made some changes on, and I have started designing some parts for the fuselage. I think its a classic looking design, ( the 29ner) what with all the struts, and cool landing gear details...

How about a scale version of the Bakeng Deuce home build design. I know it has been done. Dig through this site and you can find a few pix.

Something nifty about the parasol design.

Have fun!

Neat little airplane!

But it somehow looks a lot like a Corben Baby Ace with a stretched fuselage.

Maybe you could start there

It does, Dick, but it has capacity for a bit more useful load and power. Oh wait, I am thinking full scale.

Ya I know its an old thread but here is my parasol, been flying the old Fokker D-8 quite a few years now, I originally had a K&B .61 but it now uses a Thunder Tiger .91 two stroke and that woke her up. A lovely airplane to shoot repetitive touch and goes, with the sprung short axles.

Back when electric planes still had brushed motors and NiMh batteries I built a Kavan Sunny Boy (SIG sold Kavan at the time). It was one of the best parasol winged planes I ever built, even better than the Pietenpol. It's too bad Kavan stopped making it because with modern power components it would be an excellent trainer or just a floater for when you don't want to work at flying.

The Kadet Senior was another one that was a parasol wing (sort of). I built two of those, both glow, one was .35 and the other was .40, both were exceptionally stable and really fun to fly.

Here is another of my parasols. Built of corrugated cardboard originally as a rudder/elevator/throttle controlled RC Airplane and flew it this way for some year., Until I needed an around the pole kind of airplane as a test bed for my over the wire controlled throttle system on a controlliner. OS .20 Max:
