Default Someting Extra Landing Gear

I am finishing up a Something Extra kit and want to know where I might find a landing gear that is a little taller. I see lots of these planes with the prop just above the ground. Another club member had one left over from another kit. He replaced the standard gear that comes with the SE and it raised the prop about 1 more inch off of the ground. Made a big difference in take off's and landings.

Go to www.moosecarbonfiber.tripod.com/ They have a nice carbon fiber one for the GP Extra 40 that is 1 3/4" taller has a little wider wheel stance and it is lighter than the stock gear. $27.00 shipped. Works great.

I tried the link and I get the log in page for hotmail.com. Is there a link I should be looking for, or is the address the problem?

You know I think it's hialarious, here we are all online at the same time. I don't know what your weather is like, but I am headed to the field today. Supposed to be 80 with 4-5 mph winds. Hope you get out today if you were planning to.

I used a four star 60 gear, and have a lot of clearance with 13" or 14 " props

TnT Landing gears makes a taller replacement gear for the SE. It has the same bowed shape and is up to 5/8 of inch taller. I've had one on my SE for a couple of years now. I easily spin a 12.25 inch prop and think a 13" would work too.

www.tntlandinggear.com is their website, but you may have to call to get the tallest SE gear as they have three heights available.

You can get a replacement one from tower for about $9. I have tried the tnt version but the GP version is bit more hefty and should hold up better and was half as much as the TNT, right at the same size. I got 2 to mount floats on my SE.
