I logged some more time on my heli. Still itching to get the NexSTAR airborn though, the heli is nice but it's sooooo tiny that I can't go outside with it. Tried it a couple days ago, and as soon as it cleared the roof of my carport it shot 30 feet into the air on an updraft I couldn't feel!

Speaking of that heli, how many of the skills I'm developing on that little guy will transfer to the fixed-wing side? It's a four channel coaxial and I'm getting pretty good at flying and landing it inside my house without running into stuff.

Bump: I'm planning on heading to a field either next weekend or the one after that. Anyone gonna be down at MPRCF on either day that's willing to buddybox me or will I have to go elsewhere, likely cookeville, to find someone?

Oooh, nice. Always liked the DC3, not sure why. What engines you putting in it?

And hey, if you're open next weekend or the one after that I'll make my way down there then.

This one is not mine. Its a custom build for docyates out of Al. He is putting RCGF 26cc's on it, Has Lykesline retracts and HiTech servos throughout. He is doing it in an Airline scheme. I have all the molds and tooling. I used to sell kits of various stages but just didnt like doing that way. Now I just sell a built up version that is ready for what ever covering you want to do. Glass parts come out of the mold with PPG Primer already on it. I will sell without the wings built up. You can build from plans with all templates included, or, I can cut some foam cores if you dont like building This one is using the blade spars for plug in or can be fitted with tubes. Its just a tad smaller than Ziroli's. 136 span. 1:8.5 scale. 24 to 30 lb rtf. Have been flown with 1.50 four strokes, 25cc gas, 38cc gas (way overpowered). Can be flown electric, or two 1.08 two stokes will fly it. Its basically like a big old glider.

Got the framework installed in the upper skin. Soon as the glue dries, will put on the bottom mold with skin in it and tomorrow, will pull out a completed part Primed and ready for paint.

Once you crash a few I have some to sell, give you a deal before I take them to Perry Ga. for the swap meet.

Due to circumstances out of our control, the fly in has been canceled. We will still be flying in Union City, and you are welcome to come fly as long as you are active with AMA but there will be no landing fee, and no food for sale.

Hate to see that no one is active in this thread any more! If any of you Ken/Ten guys are still out there flying, give me a shout. I'm still flying at my house and still building a kit now then when I find time.

I live in North Alabama but I just went to a fly in at the Magic Valley Airforce's flying field last September. Had a great time.

I know several of the members at Magic Valley and been invited several times, but yet to go fly there myself. It's about an hour and half from my house. I'm sure a lot of the posters in this thread are still flying around here somewhere, but I guess they just quit communicating in this forum.
ClarkJ, I should be over your way sometime in Dec to eat at Lambert's. Good thing I don't live closer or you'd have to wheel me out of there!
