Hey...I just got a press release regarding Inside R/C's renewal from the Outdoor Channel! I love it! Now we get year round R/C on TV. Cool

Inside R/C TV gets year round deal!


Executive Vice President of the Outdoor Channel television network, Wade Sherman, has committed to bringing Inside R/C TV up to a 52 week, year round schedule. _Inside R/C will be on the air every week, 3 times a week. _This is great exposure for our industry.

The Outdoor Channel has also been experiencing one of the largest growth rate patterns in the cable/satellite industry with more than 23 million homes receiving the channel with thousands of households added on a regular basis! _Inside R/C has received an amazing response from viewers both in the hobby as well as newcomers.

Jim Broberg, president of DU-BRO Products and premiere sponsor of Inside R/C said, "Inside R/C is the best and most effective advertising that DU-BRO has ever done. _With Inside R/C, we are reaching the existing modeler but what is even more exciting is the response we continue to receive from people new to the hobby."

Inside R/C also boasts of its sponsor list. _The show is completely filled with 100% industry advertisers which shows what kind of support our industry's leading manufacturers have for this TV show. _With season #2 beginning in October, 2003, the production team is hard at work preparing the new episodes and things are coming together nicely.

Inside R/C Hosts 1st Ever "Extreme R/C Triathlon"



Inside R/C will have a great presence at the International Model & Hobby Expo in 2003. _The crew from the Outdoor Channel will be filming quite a bit at the show to get their "New Product Showcases" for the upcoming season. _They will also be filming coverage of the Extreme R/C Triathlon. _This will be a competition between 18 of the industries most versatile R/C experts. _Contestants will have to be proficient in 3 areas of radio control racing; boats, cars, and indoor pylon aircraft racing. _These 18 will go through a standard bracket system of elimination to find out who will be the 1st ever Extreme R/C Triathlon Champion. _Those interested in competing are to call or e-mail Jim Broberg at 800-848-9411 ext. 209 / [email protected]

They have taken much feedback from you guys here in the forums and will be implementing many of the requests and changes asked for as far as I understand. Should be an interesting season of shows. I wonder if I can get them to do a piece on RCU???

We appreciate all of your comments and suggestions. We will be making some needed changes to Inside R/C next season. Unfortunatley for some of you, we do have to show cars boats & heli's too (haha).

If you want to get airtimes and dates you should go to www.insiderc.com and click on airtimes and dates. Our airtimes will be the same in October when the new season begins. If you do not get the Outdoor Channel (remember it is not OLN), call your cable/satellite company. They are adding thousands of homes each week. If you have DISH or Direct TV, your channel numbers are, DISH Network #153 / DirecTV #606

We will also be updating the web site asap. The show really takes a lot of time and unfortunately the site doesn't always get the attention it deserves. It will be packed with new info shortly so check back often. The airtimes are up there now.

By the way, we only show R/C...not trains. That must have been another show.

there's 2???? I have direct tv but don't remember what channel it was on but believe it was the Home and Garden as the Wife watches that a lot.

Personally, I think Marc should be a featured guest. You could do an entire half hour with him at the field!

I know at least 37, 890 members (and counting) that would tune in!

The show about trains you saw was probably Radio Control Hobbies on DIY. The host is Chris Chianelli from RCM (I think it was that mag.)
