hi all, i know this isn't AMA directly related but...what are club member views on the club developing a site and putting the member fees collected back into the development of the club? do people want it if a site really needs things done

RE: club investments
thats were i am lost. we have 2 flying sites and not everyone is in agreement about this site...it has electric lines at bottom of the field and they say theyre dangerous - clearly not cause i flew quite a bit there...and this is the reason they wont develop it i.e. car park stoned area...roll the runways smooth, storage container. dont know how to push for the development?? some members want it as well. how should we handle this?
i mean half like this 1 site in question...other half dont

Well . . .
Maybe one of the half who want to use the field could introduce a motion that the club abandon the field. Some of those who don't want the filed might vote to do so, along with the first half. Then you and your half form a new club and use the field.
Of course, there are some details to consider, amoung them: "Who owns the field?".
Just a thought,
