Default What a day!!!

I decided that I had been scared to fly my Magic and Goldberg Tiger long enough. Packed both of them up, took a camera and a very large trashbag and headed to the field. I decided to fly both today no matter what. Got to the field, and with the help of the two people there, was able to fly both, and didn't even need the trashbag. I got the Magic dialed in and all the settings on my transmitter just right(with a lot of help). I ran 2 tanks of gas through it, and shot a lot of touch and goes. It was great. After flying the Magic, the Tiger seemed fairly tame. I wasn't scared of it anymore and won't be afraid to fly either anymore!!!!

Happy to hear you had a productive day. After 10+ years of flying I still occasionally have a wobbly knees day. Don't know what causes it, but on those days I keep it simple and do not try any new stuff.

Spending lots of time in the air is the best cure for the jitters.

John,
I thought everyone stored a folded up trash bag in the fuselage.

I thought the built in trash bag just simplified things. You know, one less thing to remember.

I guess I had a pretty good day yesterday. After working on my Sig SE off and on for what seemed like forever, I finally finished it.

After getting the sun in my eyes and a kid pestering me at the same time, I buried my Knife in the briar patch. I took more damage retrieving the plane than it did when it hit.

Took the SE up and man, oh, man, did it fly sweet! I have a new favorite plane now.

The trick is to get the plane to implode on impact so that the bits end up packed in the trash bag ready to go...

Isn't that why people use monokote? Crash and pack everything inside?

Glad it went well. My magic is pretty fun too. Have the controls set up to ludicrous speed. What fun.

"Ludicrous speed"? If I remember Spaceballs correctly, that was pretty quick.....

Hey DepFife, with nearly 30 years into it, on the first flight my antenna can look like the tail of a dog waggin hard because I'm so nervous. As soon as the weels lift, and I remember to breathe, its all good from there.

What I hate is my hands sweat when I get nervous and it makes holding the transmitter very difficult.
