Pre-cut stars for decoration - who makes them?
I'm looking for a 5 inch pre-cut sticker (approx that size), monokote, coverite/whatever material to apply on top of a monokote-covered 1.8-sized airplane. I saw Coverite has a vinyl sticker sheet with smallish stars (the biggest star was approx 3")... I'm looking for something in the 5" range.
Any suggestions?
Thanks very much,
Juhan

It is very easy to layout and cut a 5-pointed star. All you need is a compass, straightedge and protractor. Let me know if you want the details.

jsonin,
here is a 5" star in Illustrator format for you:

I don't know what version of AI you have, so I saved it in 5.5
If you want to draw one by hand, start with a 5" circle. Divide it into 10 sections (1 line every 36 degrees). Then conect every 4th intersection.

Another method I've used (if I want to cut my own since I have a ton of the vinyl stuff) is to take an image like this

into a photo imaging program and blow it up or shrink it to any size I want, print, then cut the star out for a stencil. Another easy way out is the plastic star stencils they sell at arts and craft stores for a couple bucks...which do have a 5" star:

Also, you may notice in the previous photo link the rolls of "5 year vinyl sign lettering" I bought from the local sign shop. They are 15" wide x 30 FEET long, and come in any color you can imagine, including florecsants and metal flakes. A roll that size is $8-$12 depending on the color, and like I mentioned before, is the exact same stuff the hobby companies cut trim sheets from.

Juhan: I've got just the thingy for your 5" stars. Get the Top Flite Star template. Its only a couple of bucks - I'll bet Lobsters at Lockobers that either Alex in Belmont or that place in Nashua, NH have it and the largest star is 5". It makes star cutting very very easy as you pop out the plastic stars and get positive and negative templates.
