I think a free download section at RCU would be a good idea and a great resource.

Engine manuals, parts lists, etc...

Well, it just seems so much which was on the market for such a long time now it's all fading away. I still have and continue to buy such things, but rarely is there a manual for them or any kind of paperwork that had accompanied them. Just thought it would be nice to have a resource where people can scan and post whatever paperwork, manuals, manufacture's catalogs they have to help round out what other people own.

Part of it stems from me liking vintage R/C and Control Line stuff, where you can even buy reproductions...but the original artwork or paperwork that came with them is long gone.

I just thought it would be a nice addition to have some type of archive to look through without having to post a question, plus just it just would be fun to look through for ideas.

An example would be my collection of vintage model boat advertisements that were through the pages of all the RC magazines which are slowly drying up themselves. Sort of a preservation effort I guess.

The only problem I can guess at would be if the document is copyrighted or still being sold by the manufacture for a price, which would require some kind of approval. Sort of hard to regulate here maybe.

I think it's a great idea too, but see the problem with copyright ownership. How many times have we seen someone asking for the instructions for a kit or charger or even an older radio system. Fortunately there seems to be someone willing to mail, scan, or otherwise share the needed info.
