Going on a family vacation and, who knows, I might be able to hide a small plane under all of my wife's stuff. Anyone know if there is a club close by?

Don't know of any there, but if you can plan your route through Willmar Minnesota, Stop on in!

(For that matter, there are several good clubs in the Twin Cities area)

Default Yes!!!!

Reedsburg Area Flyers

We're halfway between Reedsburg and Baraboo. We're less than 10 minutes southwest of the Dells. I'd be MORE than happy to take you out. Our field is really nice. We have a nice shelter, port a potti and we never have a problem with being too busy. Get back to me, we'll get some air time.

Jeff A

Oh, my Mom is from the Dells and I worked there all of my years when I was in High School. I can tell you the good places to see and visit while on your vacation.

That's funny, the first business I ever owned was in the Dells.
Just down the street from Have a swig @ "Nigs" was an "ole time photo museum", formerly owned and operated by HH Bennett, pioneer photographer.
I also skied for Tommy Bartlett water ski shows, back in the day.
1976 &'77.
Opened "Ole time photos" in the front of the musem.
Best time of my youth, I turned 21 there.

Worked in Madison during the winters as an "Audio Consultant"
Skied for Capitol City Ski Team, too.

Hey Mike,

If you come back to the Midwest for any of the Skiers reunions for the Bartlett Show, bring a plane, we'll fly.

Yea.... I'll find room for something. Jeff, I'll be there between the 20th & 25th. Hopefully, I can get to your field some time when you’re available. Heck, I'm on vacation, so any time your free, I can probably come.

Cool! I'll be here during that time. Sounds like fun.

Hey Art there's getting to be so many of them hodags around now their thinking of opening up a season on them little devils but there is a big concern on the effect it will have on the cheese factories and brewries (hehe). What I can't believe is noone has opened up a decent hobby shop in that town yet, it's the closest halfway big town to me (50 miles south) next is Wausau and they at least have a hobby shop (Pope's) but I have to drive 3 hours to get to it. If you have not been this way for awhile you would be surprised at how the area has grown, it's almost like a big city now, lots of red lights. Hey Goinstraightup I still have to take the family to christmas mountain for a few days this summer and don't know if I can sneak a plane or not but I would still like to come shoot the breeze, watch you all and tell a bunch of flying tales.

I wouldn't be surprised at all, flew back to Bismarck in '93 and that's when I found out that Rhinelander has an International airport!!!!! I remember it as a small nice town and even in '78 when I went back it blew me away. Glad to here that they have finally opened a hunting season on those ugly things as they taste great when smoked, kind of like chicken. Now pass that cheese Son!!!!!
