RE: Johnnie Casburn MFG
Johnny Casburn manufactured kits in Fort Worth. He started with U Control models in the ‘40s, but will be remembered most for his excellent Lucky Fly RC kits. Google "Johnny Casburn Mfg" and a lot of information comes up.

I had a king lucky fly for years....til someone turned on , on me. I recently found a crapped up one in Irving. I have been stripping the paint off it for over a year. The moron that built it also covered the cores using 3m77 spray, so the skins are coming off. So, I have a prjoect for sure, but itll be worth it. I gotta say its the plane I had the most fun with all these years. Cant wait to get it finished, but it looks like it'll be awhile. Got any cores or plans>? New canopy perhaps?
By the way, Casburn models were kitted by Joe Pinkston in Grand Prarie TX. He sold all the jiggs and stuff.
thanx

I built and flew the Lucky Fly about 25 years ago. I'll bet I still have the plans burried somewhere. It was a great flying plane. I think I had a Supertigre 60 on it if I remember right.

Cool Man! I love the plane. I'll take some pics of it as I go along. Im currently skabbin the nose section around the spinner....it was mis shaped, and square. The whole long nose was square, but Im rounding it as I go. Gonna be a bute. Thanx for talkin with me. If ya got any lucky fl stories to tell.....Im all ears Wanna sell any ...plans >? O
