If you pay taxes, you already have. Of course kicking in a bit more will help.

If you are talking about the Mayan myth... it is incorrect that the Mayan calender ends in 2012.

Yes, both my wife and I donated via cell phone to the fund promoted by Presidents Clinton and Bush.
It's easy, and every little bit helps.

I hope the money gets to the people of Haiti-and does not feed the continued corruption that the media is reporting

I wonder what happened to the hundreds of millions that have already been sent to Haiti that was supposed to fund dwellings that would resist natural disasters. Probably went to line the pockets of a few of the elite.

Because RCers need to show the world were not self centered narcissistic jerks?

Again.. that's in reference to the end of the Mayan calendar. There are some Mayan calendars that extend past that date. Regardless any calender they have doesnt end, it resets, just like your car odometer.

Our sun is no where near releasing a Gama burst. I believe stars release Gama burst when they go nova (our sun is billions of years from going nova, which would wipe out the entire solar system anyways). Also the ones we can detect are billions of light years away and pose no danger.

People need to stop listening to junk science and get educated!

Budman27, looking at your avatar one would presume you have a pessimistic outlook on life?

Hi All;

Hey! If'n da Myans' and their Calenders were so smart in predicting the future and dire events'n'all, how come they were not warned about the Spaniards invasion and their own demise 500 yrs ago? Ah shuckins; I gotta get back to my building table and destroy some more balsa.....Best regards from Arizona,

Joe Nagy.

Over 6 billions USD world wide has been pumped into bringing Haiti out of poverty . Haiti's government is so corrupt that the money stays in the pockets of Haiti's elite while the poor continue to suffer. The whole Caribbean area suffers from poor government. I don't think that area will ever get better until the corruption is removed...

If you want to support haiti, support the Christian missions in Haiti. They make sure the poor get the resources needed.

Ok, I think all that can be said has been said. I left this thread up for a few days because this event is so tragic, but now I am closing it down before it gets out of hand
