Does anyone remember the 2 liter soda bottle plane?
I'm sure this is a long shot, but I thought I'd try anyhow...
There were plans for a 2 liter "RC Cola" airplane in either RCM or MAN back in the mid eighties. It was a .10 or .15 powered plane and used an aluminum tube for the tail boom attached to the bottle neck. Anyone remember this or have a picture/plans source?

Here is mine, by the way the wing is from a Flyline Fairchild kit
The tube is a plastic shower curtain rod cover, you can get this at the dollar store.
Mine had an OS Max .10 engine
Royal mini servos
Kraft radio
Lots of wire bending and brazing.
Not a good beginners model to build or fly. Flew pretty fast.
I'm getting the urge to build an electric version. Finding those old bottles is the challenge.
Once you put that cowl on ( 2 liter bottle bottom ) it's major surgery to get inside should you have to change a battery or move
something to get it to balance correctly.

Wow that's it! Unfortunately, I did forget that two liter bottles were very different back then, and the bottom "cowling" was part of what made the model so great. Maybe I'll check my parent's basement the next time I'm over there....there's probably a couple that are unopened.
