Default Work Shop Pics

Here are some pics of my workshop. It was an addition that I put on last year. It is accessable right from my kitchen. It is the room above the garage door (my shed)

Inside it will fit a 40% if you did not need to walk (but it could be done).

I found some long drawer slides to make a pull out section in the center of the bench. This is the best thing I did as it lets me put a fuse on the bench and walk around it. It pushes in when I need more floor room.

Thanks!

They are kitchen cabinets from Home Depot, the cheap ones that you have to assemble. They are all stuffed to the MAX :-)

Love it...especially the slide out counter top. One question though, you can't tell from the picture, but are you not worried even a little that the one of the radios might flip off? It just looks like they are unprotected. Of course it could be the angle of the picture.

The shelves are recessed and the transmitter fits inside keeping them safe. I have not had them fall yet.

Thanks for the comments.

I really need some help in setting up a work space. My home is small and I don't have any room, literaly, to work. I have a freezer in the basement. Thats the only flat surface I have. But then I would have to move everything every time I got into it.

Default Workshop

Eric, your workshop looks like mine, covered with bits of this and that and planes too. I have a sign on the wall in mine that says "creative clutter"

Nice shop, what are the dimensions of the flooring? I like you have the wall cabinets. One of them I grabbed from the side of the road set out for trash. The day before it was in a garage sale but never sold, early the next morn I drove down the street and threw it in the back of the truck, I mean after all it was set out for trash pickup.

Default Call that a "workshop" ???

Sorry Erick, but you can't call it a workshop when it's so clean & tidy. You gotta mess it up a bit more.

Eric. WOW! The pull out table is something I've wanted to do for some time (my work area is similar to yours). What is the mechanism you to slide it back into the main table?

Thanks,

John

They are very long heavy-duty industrial drawer slides. The company I used to work for had a couple that were given to them. I took them before they discarded them. They are awesome, You could stand on that pull out without any flex

I do not know where to get them, however! Search on the net!
