RE: **** Top Gun ****
Ken,
Looks like a ton of work putting that together, and I appreciate it. But I am having trouble with many of the pictures, they won't enlarge, and if you click the link for the high res pics it says "page cannot be found". One example is all the close up details on the L4 cub. No big deal, I just wasn't sure if you were aware of this. I'm sure trying to fit so much stuff on one page is a nightmare.

After viewing several of the Top Gun video's I've noticed that several of the planes (taildraggers mostly) take off from grass which is next to a perfectly good asphalt runway. And I saw the Texan II start on the runway, cross over into the grass then take off from the grass. What's up with that? Why not use the perfectly good runway?
Thanks

Right - I've never been to Top Gun. I fly at our club field in San Angelo, Texas where the wind can be howling from all quarters but blows (and blows and blows) mainly out of the south. Windiest place I've ever lived. If we don't fly in the wind....we don't fly.
Suggestion for future Top Gun's: Award points for realistic use of the runway...take off & land down the center of the runway. Maybe they already do this in which case just ignore this post.
