Sr Kadet does the impossible for most other planes
My Sr. KAdet is Tail heavy, but it flew flawlwssly after taking off in about 12 feet. I am going to add weight needed. And Oh, I dead-sticked and came back to field to fast, at end of runway, I did a 180 loop about 12 feet off ground with NO POWER(very bad judgement), BUT, We were all amazed that it did not stall, I glided back onto the runway for a smooth landing. The guys at the field said that my comment of poor judgement was true, except for this plane, as it was forgiving to the point of being unbelievable! What a Plane ! (Running a Tower Hobbies .46)

If it flew flawlessly, why are you adding the weight? Fly it the way it is. It's amazing how slow the Sr. will fly. Don't spoil it with useless weight.

The Kadet Senior is a very agile and maneuverable plane despite its large size. Those huge ailerons can catch some air and if you throw in a little rudder that puppy will spin on a dime.
I put a TT Pro 61 engine on mine and it balanced out nicely. It is a very fun plane to fly.

senior
My senior is a 1986 model with a 40 motor and it is a really weird plane. Took me 4 tries to land it. My instructer only needed two tries. Whatta plane. It wants to soar like a sail plane. Into a hard wind,it will almost hover..
