RE: Flybaby
For an aircraft "similar" to a Flybaby, how about a "Spacewalker"? Sig offers both a 1/3 scale(104' wingspan) and a 1/4 scale(84' wingspan). Horizon Hobbies offers an ARF in thier Seagull brand that has a 61" wingspan. I have a 1/4 scale Great Planes Spacewalker ARF(no longer in production) and can attest to being a fine flying scale model. If you can fly a Cub, you can fly a Spacewalker! Try one, you'l like it!

RE: Flybaby
Katesh, This is a Fly Baby that I recently built from RCM plan # 957, designed by Chuck Cunningham. It has an 84 inch fully symmetrical wing and weighs just under 10 lbs. The engine is a YS 110 and provides plenty of power. I made a few changes to the wing design by adding sheeting to the leading edge, trailing edge, wing tips and cap strips on the ribs. I also added a fiberglass cowl as the plans only show a balsa block nose with the engine mounted upright. It is a ball to fly! I'm now building a second one for a friend and it will be powered by a DLE 30.....RS

Balsa USA is re-releasing their 1/3 scale 88'' span Fly Baby biplane kit very shortly.
They may have the monoplane kit still available, but you'd have to check their web site.
