Land Grants For RC Fields
I had a great question put to me the other day and I do not have an answer for it so I am going to ask the question here in hopes someone may either know it, or know where I can go to find the answer.
The question is, are there any companies, or government entities, that being, city, county, state or federal that will provide grant money for a person or club to purchase land for a flying field? I know the AMA provides grant money assistance, but I am looking for other sources as well.
Thanks in advance.
Frank

I fly off a State Park thats costing the club a dollar a year. The City/County Council was approached by members of anotther club that was losing their field. It did'nt happen over night, but it does happen with the right people. Also, Closed or minimum use landfills make great flying fields, but you need to approach your local Gubberment in a proffesional manner with a specific agenda, dont waste their time, and bull***** them and you will have your field.

Thanks for the info SB. I'll be sure to put that down as a possible solutions and pass that along to those that are needing some advice.
Still hoping that someone, somewhere has found a source.
Thanks again,
Frank
