Yak 54-Lanier 87
I accquired a YAk 54 87" wingspan, Any of you guys, or girls out there know what all the control
surfaces up/down/ and side to side, are supposed to be set at, ie. ailerons,Elevators, Rudder. Don't have that info, would appreciate some..Tnx, R |
RE: Yak 54-Lanier 87
I'm not positive but I would say at or about 20% up/down for AIL &ELE and 25% for RUD for normal flight.
40% for all for 3D. |
RE: Yak 54-Lanier 87
OK, that sounds pretty good, Probably end up about 25 to 30 degrees, and a little more on rudder. Like it a little more active, and triple rates will help..
Another question is this, There are four aileron servos, 2 per aileron, they are presently Y'ed together, and run on seperate 2 channels at receiver. I think that they should all be on seperate channels, Run as four ailerons on seperate channels. As the ailerons are now, they buzz like crazy, ailerons seem to be a little twisted. I can fix that, but I think things would be simpler with each aileron servo on a different channel, stops twist in the ail, and the servos would not buzz..Does that sound CORRECT? |
RE: Yak 54-Lanier 87
Depends on the servos and the TX/RX you are using, the twist might not be the only issue, there are several ways to pair the servos to eliminate buzzing, Match Boxs, Powerexpanders with matching, Programing the servos or seperate channel mixing. It depends on the equiptment you have and or are willing to buy.

Hi,
I am using a Jr 11x xmitter, and a JR 1221 powersafe with 4 sats. thanks |
RE: Yak 54-Lanier 87
I don't have a radio /RX that will do it so I use match boxes. I do know certain JR/Spektrum radio systems will do that.
