Add Remove Forums from MY Forums
How do I go about adding or removing the forums that show when I go to "My Forums"?
Since the new format, all of the forums that use to show, aren't the same as they were. Greg |
Yes?,, I'm hoping that works somehow too,, I only browse about 10 forums
Looks to me what happened is when they swapped systems,, the My Forums converted to "subscribed forums",, I was wondering whay I was getting email notifications of subscribed forums when I nevver had set that up. Now to figure out how to link to those subscribed forums disrectly |
OK, Found it,, when I hit the "settings" link in the new menu bar it takes me to a profile page that has my Subscribed threads and Forums,, strange place for it if you ask me,, you'd think that Subscriptions link would take you there, but that just takes you only to subscribed threads.

THANKS, Scale only. I was getting pretty piZZed having to go through half the world to get to what I want to read . ENJOY !!! RED

When I go to http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/subscription.php all that is there is subscribed threads, and not forums.
What exactly are you clicking on? Greg |

I have the same problem. I've clicked on just about everything and go to weird places that have nothing to do with what I want. In My Profile, if I click on the forums tab, it goes to a biography of me. Ridiculous!!! This is also the second try to give a quick reply as it says I'm not logged in but shows I am in the thread information. Something has been fixed that wasn't broken.

scale only for me...I tried your link and came to "My Recent Threads And Replies".
There use to be a page that had all of the forum headings, and you picked out which forums you wanted to list under "My Forums". Still a mystery....why doesn't someone from RCU chime in on this? Greg |
I'm looking at this myself at the moment ;) will poke around a bit and see if I can figure out if this is still a known issue, if there's a fix in the works, workaround or what....

to Add a forum to your 'My Forums':
1st go to the the forum you want to add (RC Jets in this example) and click on 'Forum Tools' then 'Subscribe to this forum' http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=1908192 this will bring you to another page where you'd click on 'Add Subscription' http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=1908194 and that's it! click on My Forums again and Viola! RCJets is now in 'My Forums' http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=1908195 to remove one, repeat the process, but click on 'Forum tools, Unsubscribe from this forum.' http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=1908196 |
incidentally, I found that while perusing the big green banner at the top of every page:
For general questions about where to find buttons and other functionality from the old forum, check the FAQ here. this link: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/foru...ibe-forum.html Hope that helps, Gents! |

even easier way:
go to any forum list... you'll see a bunch of either green checkmarks or black minus signs: click on the green checkmark to subscribe, click on the black minus sign to unsubscribe. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=1908207 http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=1908208 these actions directly control what you see under 'My Forums' |
Nice find

Thanks Jim.
That did it. Greg |
