Recyling Fuel Bottles

Flying regularly I end up with empty bottles but the local farmers are quick to pick them for storing various fluids which I expect are a lot nastier than glow fuel. I keep a few myself as they make great parts bins. CoolMax and Wildcat are the fuels I use here and both of their bottles cut easily with shop scissors or with a sharp knife. Pretty handy for collecting parts during engine tear downs.

I would hate to even count all of the bottles of fuel that I've used over the years that I've been in this hobby!!! :)

I've saved bottles occasionally for using various things, usually for liquids of some sort. I even used on to fill with concrete to set my mailbox in. But I've never even considered cutting them open and using them like you show. Just goes to show you that you learn something new every day!!! :D

Thanks for the hint

Ken
