nitroplanes customer service not good

They sent me a Dynam F6F without the control horns, then they're having me wait one week just to send out the parts.

When I was missing some control horns from a Techone kit they told me they did not have any spares but If I returned the kit at my expense $30 shipping they would send me another kit-say what?? next time I'm just going to contact paypal/CC.

They can just open the new kit and send you the horns. Either way they wind up with a kit short the horns. If they don't do that I would contact paypal.

They don't have to open up another kit, they have spare parts.

Or, instead of starting a bunch of paypal crap over three or four bucks, just go to your LHS and buy 4 horns.

I did, the horns I bought would require me to drill new wholes, I'm not even sure if they're the right size.

Is that above your skill level ? If so, I'll do a photo essay and post it, to illustrate how it's done.

You get what you pay for. When you make a purchase based on price, from a company known for it's poor service, you have to expect these things.

Dont be afraid to be a real modeler. Bust out that drill and get to work.

Daniel52 02-03-2014 04:46 AM

I wanted to be sure that the horns were the right size so I just ordered another pack. I didn't want the throw distance to be affected.

Typical Chinese lousy customer service mentality, but dude learn how to be a modeler.

These aren't models, they're rc planes.

Uh, what?

I guess you're not familiar with the term "model airplane". That's what they are, like it or not. I'm a modeler, you're a modeler, the other guys are modelers too. If you're not comfortable with the term "model", I guess "toy" would send you over the edge.

Does this kit require some kind of special or propitiatory control horns? If not, I am sure they can get their hands one a few without having the open up a new kit. If the horns are indeed unique, I agree with dirtybird, they should open a new kit and mail the horns to you for a few bucks, rather than asking you to pay $30 shipping. They would also need to pay to ship the new kit to you. How does this make financial sense for the vendor?!

Another option would be to contact Dynam RC directly. They may be willing to send you a few control horns. Be sure to let them know what nitroplanes.com said. I am sure the would be curious to know how what kind of treatment their customers are receiving.

It's been over a week. Did you get your parts ?
