A couple weeks ago, I was introduced to a 40CC gas twin, dist by VVRC "Valley View RC. I KNOW there is a lot of you guys who have seen this engine or may have already bought it!!! Engines to me are like Diamond rings to girls!!! I love em!! this one is NO EXCEPTION!!! it runs soooo good... It fits totally in-cowl in my New Hanger-9 Beaver. and I got 10 more CC stuffed in it!!! I love this engine!1...

But,, this is where it REALLY shines!!!! Tammy over at VVRC was VERY good to me on the phone, she helped in every way she could to make sure my order was take'n care of, and shipped out the engine as soon as she got it in!!! I KNOW there are a ton of you guys wondering why I posted this on a biz,,,but I deal with the big company's as well, And I believe in talking about a biz as good as this one!! This is a Father/Daughter run shop in Washington St. and these guys ROCK!!!

Tammy, I WILL tell everyone who ask me about the engine, where I got it, and expect calls from Reno NV... 6 have already seen it in the plane, and Drool'n!!

I saw these engines in Toledo. Company is called RCGF. They had a 30cc and a 40cc twin engine. Pretty little things and I would really like to get my hands on one and put them in a plane!!!

Here is the flyer I picked up from their booth in Toledo. Sorry about the business card in the top corner. I got this so I could use it for future contact for reviews on their engines and this is how I keep things straight when I am at shows like Toledo.

Is that the same company that made a glow engine where the housing rotated around the cylinder? I don't know if you remember those but the piston was perpendicular to the housing and they were geared two to one so the prop turned at 1/2 crankshaft RPM.

No, those engines are RCV.
Here's the link http://www.rcvengines.com/rcv_modelhome.htm
A very interesting engine, a 4 stroke with just a few moving parts.
I understand they rattled a lot. I never heard one run.
My friend had several when he passed away.
Sold very well.

Good Luck,

That's right it was RCV, thanks. The owner of our LHS had one about five or six years ago in a Corsair, I don't remember that it rattled but it flew pretty well. Evidently they were not very reliable, at the time at least, and I recall him saying he crashed because it sized up. I have not seen another one since so I guess they are not popular, It was a very interesting design though.

By the way I think the picture of the Corsair in their ad might be the one I was talking about, it looks just like it.

Its not an RCGF, Valley View has them contract made.

They have CM6 or 1/4x32 mini plugs, an RCEXL ignition and a real Walbro carb.

Mine runs like a swiss watch. I pulled a G26 off my 1/4 scale Super Cub and bolted one of these on. I ordered a new cowl because all that is sticking out now is the exhaust stacks.

Perfect engine for any of the 30cc class planes like the Extreme Flight Extra, the Super Cub and a gaggle of others.
