anyone have any luck with painting 21st fabric with anything other than their paint-21st paint has limited color selection and poor coverage. Trying to paint the side insert of 1/4 scale champ and need advice on what paint and fuel proofing-thanks jim

I have painted two Sig Senior Kadets that were covered with 21st Century fabric. The first one - not so hot but acceptable. The second, after analysis, came out fine. I thought back to the original and realized that I had not properly filled the fabric with primer. The primer can be anything from dope to regular Krylon or Rustoleum sanding primer but you must have a completely filled paintable surface. The 21st Century paint I used worked very well. I have used other fuel proof paints, both from a can and with a gun, on fabrics including Sig's Coverall
and found that the most important part of the paint job is the undercoat.
