Here's one of my favorites

one of my self-done designs
Yeah it isnt too fancy, or too wild but it was a) my first scratch built plane and b) my first self designed 'pattern' covering job. I even cut the letters out of Monokote.
All my other covering jobs up until then were basic stripes, full colors with decals etc. http://home.earthlink.net/~dkurth/images/pitts.jpg |

I've got two, can't make up my mind so I'll post both separately:
This is my Sr.Telemaster, HB.60 powered covered 100% with monokote. I used Transparent green, yellow, flourescent yellow (on the numbers), orange, red, chrome, white, flourescent green, metallic green, pink, black, cream, tan, and metallic brown. WHEW. http://www.aerog.com/rem/tm2-400.jpg http://www.aerog.com/rem/tm1-400.jpg |

This is my Ultra Sport 60 w/OS FS.90, covered 100% with monokote, the graphics are all hand-cut.
Colors used: Flourescent yellow for the base color, black/white/pink/flourscent-blue on the tiger, base black/red/flourescent-red on the numbers and "ultra sport", and black/flourscent-green on the other text. The numbers on the fuse and the "ultra sport" are a neon-tube design that the flourescent color highlights against regular red, but it doesn't show up very well in the photography. http://www.aerog.com/rem/us1-300.jpg http://www.aerog.com/rem/us4-300.jpg http://www.aerog.com/rem/us2-400.jpg http://www.aerog.com/rem/us3-400.jpg |

I've not been able to find scans of my Bird of Time or Olympic99 or Windfree, but here is a pic of Dennis Adamisn's Oly, and the "ROY G. BIV" color scheme that I like to use. The yellow ("minus-blue") gives great visibility against a blue sky, and the red-green wingtips offer good orientation when specked out:
