Oh, baby! As if I didn't already love this plane enough!! Now I need to find a Bearcat kit and bash the heck out of it. Anybody know who if anyone ever made a Bearcat kit? I'd even settle for plans. I know TT made the ARF, and would consider getting it, but am unsure of the finish underneath. I imagine a guy would have to FG and paint this bad boy scheme.

That paint job has some real eye-catching appeal. I don't normally like a flashy paint scheme but I really like that one.

Royal made a .60 sized kit many years ago. You might find one on e-bay, but I'd be surprised if anyone would be willing to sell one. Zirolli sells the plans and I think maybe fiberglass fuselage. I have the plans and I still plan to build one some day. It's always been one of my favorite piston aircraft.

Beautiful plane and a very interesting web site. I think it would be interesting to know how much that engine cost. They must be getting very hard to find.

This month's Air and Space magazine has an article on the Rare Bear. Nice read, good pics, even a photo of the plane with what looks like a Zinger RC prop on it. Looks kinda funny, the full size plane with a 16" or so prop.
