    carving type foams

    What type of foam are you guys using for buildup between cross sections? is pink foam the same as the blue foam? they type that is compatible with resin. unlike styrofoam. any links?

    I use 2 inch thick pink foam. You can apply epoxy/fiberglass directly to it to make your plug. I have documented a few projects here: http://webpages.charter.net/mcquinn/...s/projects.htm

    Lowes carries the pink (St. Louis MO). I think it is very similar to the blue foam in terms of density and workability

    I use the Foamular pink foam (the one with a pink panther on it) and I get it here in MΓ©xico at Home Depot
