Default Carbon or Hybrid shells and D boxes

Just getting into RC soaring, it seemed that the bagged D box shells may have some application for those building currently. Could some of the woodies benifit from addition of
carbon shells, or full D box with spar be of value? I know it is not in the spirit, but looking at some designs, they could benifit. Would builders consider using a composite shell if available? All ideas and opinions welcome.

Sorry don't get it. Most of the wings have D boxes. You still see a few floaters with out I have a 1 metre span light weight gliderI slope soar off the back Levee Bank.

I should have been a little clearer. I have seen woodies that have gone to a varity of carbon spars. The sheeting seems to remain wood. Depending on the wood and carbon used, the weight is virtually the same. Shell replacing wood, with or without carbon spar,
stronger and more durable. Saw old build post on a BOT using carbon spar construction that woulld have worked well with a shell.
I am going to try this with a Sovergien 2 meter. Making spars now. This could also open possibilities for those that like to build, do something modern full carbon. Shell pictures attached.
