Foam Foundation
Hey Guys. I'm taking a Nitroplanes Cessna 182 and making a 180. As we all know a 180 is a fast back, where as the 182 has a window in the back. My fuselage is Epoxy Fiberglass. I was thinking of gluing some foam on, then shaping to the correct outline, then glassing the whole thing. What would be the easiest foam to work with? What type of epoxy should I use?

RE: Foam Foundation
Wierd no responce to this..
Id bet youve already done this project, but if not...
You could use about any foam since you will be removing the foam when your glass work is finished.. Tack it on to the area, shape it to your profile. Glass the area. When your done, you can simply melt the foam out with some acetone or similar solvent.
