Default How to extend length of CF rods...

Does anyone knows how to enlarge the length of CF rods to be used as push rods. I need 4.5 feet long rod but most i found are 3.5 feet in length....

Do you guys do the joint internally by use of metal rod to join 2 CF rods together or use external coupling method with sleeve over main rod to join them together....

An external (carbon fibre tube) sleeve will be much stiffer than an internal one.

If your sleeve is made from uni-direction material or pultruded then you want to wrap the tube with some fiber to prevent it from splitting.
