Default Bondo

I have a 60 size Staudacher and the cowl has some cracks and things,i put some epoxy on them and the epoxy turned yellow.
If i were to sand off the epoxy and put Bondo over the cracks then sand and paint will this method work?
The cowl is fiberglass.

Default RE: Bondo

Bondo is heavy. Are the cracks into the glass? I would sand everything off it, back to base and then prime and paint. You can probably sand back far enough to stay out of the cloth, but get rid of the cracks. If not, put a light layer of cloth over it and then prime and paint. If you cover the crack with bondo, it will just crack again I would think. If you are going to fix it, might as well make it last.
