RE: carbon fiber
The CF we use to make RC parts is a CF weave, available in various weights (measured in ounces per square yard). I use a lot of 6 ounce Carbon Fiber to make parts. I order mine from Wicks in Highland IL. http://www.wicksaircraft.com/ becasue they are close and I get it the next day. I have not found a source to buy it retail over the counter.

RE: carbon fiber
Yes, you can use regular hobby shop epoxy. Not the 5-minute kind as this sets up too fast. 30 minute is OK, but for large projects where it may take an hour or so to make up the part, I generally use a longer set time. I buy it by the gallon at the local boat store.

Check out www.cstsales.com. They have carbon tissue .2 oz, .5 oz and they have carbon fabric from 2.4 oz to 10.9 oz.
They also have tapes, braided sleves and more.
