Default Un-Epoxying Something??

What is the best way to un-epoxy something? I got a plane from someone else that has a piece of light ply with some velcro on it epoxied into the battery compartment. I need to remove it so that I can fit my battery in there. Is my only option to hack away at it with hobby knife and a file? Thanks.

Your heat gun should be able to soften the epoxy so it can be removed. If you are worried about any covering that may be near it use your iron instead - crank it all the way up to get the necessary heat.

Heat will not remove the epoxy, however, it will soften it up so you can scrape it out.

Thanks. I will use my iron. Seems like the heat will be more direct this way. Thanks.
