Extra 300s Need help
Need help repairing my ruder and my elevator. Made of balsa
What would you guys recommend to fill this gap that I made today? Im not sure what filler would work best I was hoping something light and yet easy to sand.

Unless you're a stickler for pretty, I'd just sand it to blend in. Apply finish.
If you are a stickler, cut out a small piece and using wood glue install a replacement chunk of wood. then sand to final shape. Apply finish.
Wood glue (Tite Bond II) sands well/easy.

Dude, that is too easy.
Peel back some of that monokote
either add filler, or what I would do is glue some balsa stock on there with ca, a big enough block to where you can sand it down smooth to shape, then apply some monokote.
But really, that's how to repair.
That nick is BS, and I fly Turbine jets, take it from me, that is not a blemish to be worried about, what I persnoally would do is wick some CA on the area so the monokot doesn't peel, and on the wood so gas exhuast doesn't soak, and I would keep flying, that is not somehting to put time into.
