Default A Source For Kevlar

Hey Guys
I read once that automotive airbag material is kevlar type material. Any truth to this?
Thanks

I thought I read somewhere that it was, but the material was not treated as to be compatible with resins (might not wet out properly)... I don't remember where I read this...

So you might as well leave it in your steering wheel!

Default Source for Kevlar

I went to a junk yard and purchased an air bag which is made of Kevlar, the good news. There is an air tight coating on it to allow the bag to expand and not leak through the fiber. Resin wil NOT
penetrate. I was unable to remove the coating
