epoxy running
When I make my fuse I usually brush coloured epoxy into the mold first, then wait about 1 1/2 hour until it is just slightly tacky and them apply first layer of the cloth.
However each time I see the epoxy is running into dependent areas leaving less on vertical parts and making puddles at the bottom.
Is there a good way to prevent this ?
To thicken the epoxy by microballons ?

I used microballons more than aerosil. If you mix it too thick, then it tends to form small bubles, if it is too thin, then it runs.
I tried to tilt the molds every 15 mins, so it disperses more evenly.
Not very bright solution, but do not have other ideas.

If you're trying to thicken the epoxy you should be using Cabosil or Aerosil (fumed silica). Microballoons is not an epoxy thickener, it's an epoxy extender. Basically it takes up a lot of space and weighs virtually nothing. But it won't thicken the epoxy.
