Hi, does anyone know where I might find a 3/4 inch square carbonfiber wing tube? Building a BUSA big Stearman and the wing tubes are steel... kind of heavy but stong.

I have done a lot of searching on Carbon fiber supplies and have never come up with a square that large, rounds are easy, I'm sure you could fine aluminum and Fiberglass. Why not round, it provides better stress management, no hard corners! Here are two places for carbon fiber materials.

Hi thanks for the help. The reason I want square tubing is that the kit is already cut for the square stuff both upper and lower wings. I guess I will search out aluminum tubes. I was just thinking about saving a little weight on the build. But being this is a big.very big bi-plane and all I may do with it is some basic aerobatics at the extreme end it does not matter all that mch about saving a few ounces on the weight.

The one site has .25 Squares yo could make a cross shaped plate and use 4 of the. I would get the weight numbers on the aluminum sq tube first!
