Default fiber glass fuel tanks

hey guy's, i am in a sitution where a decent size fuel tank won't fit in one of my pylon planes as everything is very tight. I am hoping to make a 4 oz fiber glass shell and then put a bladder in to make it bubble less. I was wondering what the steps would be to put something like this together as i have done very little glassing before. It really, has to be long, thin, air tight and to be able to handle little pressure. I know it will be quite a job but what would be involved.

There could be more Questions....

thanks

Default RE: fiber glass fuel tanks

hi, i made one out of fiberglass and epoxy some time ago, i shaped the tank out of blue foam with nice rounded corners so that the glass will follow easily then i found a piece of aluminium tube the diameter of the neck/ stopper and this doubled as a handle to hold everthing as it was glassed and epoxied. i used 2 layers of 4oz glass and cut 4 ends and 2 strips for the body of the tank, when fully cured pull tube(i needed to use some heat to get tube out) out and dig foam out and clean with thinners, the only problem i had was methanol attacks epoxy.
