Howdy all,
I maidened my Composite extra 330 2 weks ago and on landing the undercarriage decided it wasnt secure enou8gh and the top piece of wood snapped.
This left me with 2 holes in the side of my plane.

BEFORE DOING ANYTHING, FIND OUT IF THE FUSELAGE IS MADE FROM EPOXY RESIN OR POLYESTER RESIN. THE 2 DO NOT PLAY WELL TOGETHER.
GENERALLY, when you have a hole that IS NOT OVERLY LARGE, CA or epoxy a piece of 1/64 ply on the inside of the fuselage (you can also use 2oz fiberglass as a backer). This "patch" should extend about 1" beyond the hole. If the repair is in a "stress" area, I suggest using 1/64 ply then 2 layers of 1 - 2 oz fiberglass cloth over the ply so that it the fiberglass is also secured to the glass fuselage for about 1" beyond the ply. Although this adds weight, it usually brings the area back to at least the original strength.
Next, make up a mixture of Bondo (determine if you need polyester or epoxy type) and micro balloons (or unscented talcum powder) and fill the hole. When dry sand smooth and to match the contour. Use spot putty (red stuff, comes in a tube in the auto section of Wal-Mart) for any pinholes. When you are happy with the results, prime and paint.
